Overall Design: This is an overall continuous line design. This design will cover the entire quilt including the borders. An example of this is an overall large to medium meander or loopy hearts or stars.
Overall Extra:This includes amore detailed edge to edge design simple stitch in the ditch and borders quilted separately.
Heirloom Custom:This is everything not included in the above including freehand feathers, stencils, trapunto, detailed stitch in the ditch, echo outline etc.
This service is for the people who love to hand quilt but hate to baste the layers together. This is a larger stitch done in a contrasting easy to see ,and remove, thread in parallel rows approx 4 inches apart.
$20.00 per hour for any other labours such as seaming and assembling the backing, ironing or any needed repairs to the quilt before quilting such as overly wavy borders, tucks and puckers or holes in seams. This will be discussed with you before any of these charges are incurred.
I will bind your quilt with mitered corners using the French double fold method.
Hand Finish: I will apply the binding by machine and hand sew the finished binding to the back of your quilt this includes making a straight of grain binding from your fabric (An extra meter of material to make the binding from must be sent with the quilt)
Attach Only: I apply the binding by machine this includes making a straight of grain binding from your fabric (an extra meter of material to make the binding from must be sent with the quilt)
Bias Binding: This is necessary for any quilt with an irregular edge such as double wedding ring. I will create a bias binding from your fabric and apply it by machine. (This requires that 2 extra meters of material must be sent with the quilt)
Any unused material will be returned with the completed quilt.
I use Superior thread with lots of colours and types to choose from. Regular thread is included in the price of the quilting. There is a charge for specialty threads such as metallic or variegated thread and is charged on a price per spool basis.
